this is a video that closes in and closes out of my self portrait. the
self portrait is a pencil drawing on a poster of my side profile and
curly hair. in my curls hold several quotes, such as "bronx," "injustice
anywhere is a threat to justice anywhere," "I matter," and "Dominican-
American"
the sound is a lofi hip hop sound i made in majenta tendershow, a lofi
hip hop ai generator. by interacting with elements in the room, i built
my own custom beat.
i wanted to emphasize the theme of the piece being too big to contain
with the zooming in and zooming out in the video. i also wanted to
focus on the valus of distance, what is in focus, what can you see and
what cant you see.
